MÓTUS Presents… Far From Home by the Alleyne Dance Company

7 March @ 19:00 - 21:00

Renowned dance company Alleyne Dance is set to captivate audiences with their latest production, “Far From Home,” a compelling exploration of the human stories often overlooked in the discourse on immigration. The performance, suitable for all the family, will take place at The Venue MK on 7 March.

“Far From Home” features a talented ensemble of six professional dance artists, accompanied by a cast of emerging dancers recruited from the local Milton Keynes community and supported by MÓTUS. This unique collaboration allows local dancers to work with an internationally acclaimed company and represent diverse experiences within the local community.

“Far From Home” delves into the deeply personal narratives of individuals compelled to embark on journeys in search of a better life, driven by the aftermath of social or political upheavals. The production sheds light on the untold stories and amplifies the voices that are not always heard, bringing a profound sense of humanity to the stage.

This dynamic dance spectacle, infused with Alleyne Dance’s signature powerhouse style, promises to be a hard-hitting, atmospheric, and abstract narrative that will leave a lasting impact on its audience. The choreography skilfully weaves together the emotional and mental stresses faced by migrant families, providing a thought-provoking exploration of the consequences of the pursuit of a better life.

Don’t miss the opportunity to witness this groundbreaking dance production that brings to light the humanity behind the headlines.
